An Oread is a type of nymph from ancient Greek mythology. They lived in mountains, valleys, and ravines. The greens and grays of this shawl evoked that sort of imagery for me.

Yarn used: I have a cone of the Alpaca-Silk; I’m holding one strand of the that yarn with one strand of each of these mohair yarns, starting in the middle of the circle with the lightest color (the Kidsilk Haze) then working my way out to the gray. The 10 1/2 needles make this go SO QUICKLY. I’m doing a concentric yarn-over pattern every six rounds, which also makes this go quickly. I want to wear it NOW.
