Cast on 105 sts using 2 #8 (5mm) 40” cable needles, one to knit one way and the other to knit the other way for the edging (provisional cast on just wasn’t working with the furriness of this yarn).

For the first side edging, I followed the Potato chip scarf from Knit Picks (knitting front and back in every stitch, every other row for about 6 rows) then bind off for a fun frilly ruffle (all 800+ sts).

Will begin to work the other way for the body, but not sure what to do yet. The fuzzy nature of the yarn is really limiting my prospects.

Pattern so far:
after the frilly chip part was bound off, began to knit the other way with remaining needle. Placed stitch marker every 15 sts (Save remaining portion of this skein for other end frilly part).
Start new skein of yarn:
1) knit Garter stitch for about 4 rows
2) knit stockinette for about 8 rows

Pattern (purl even rows):
row 1: kfb, k5, sl2, k1, p2sso(pass 2 slipped sts over), k5, kfb (repeat to to end of row)
row 3: repeat row 1
row 5: k1, yo, k5, sl2, p2sso, k5, yo, k1
row 7: k2, yo, k4, sl2, p2sso, k4, yo, k2
row 9: k3, yo, k3, sl2, p2sso, k3, yo, k3
row 11: k2, yo, k4, sl2, p2sso, k4, yo, k2
row 13: k1, yo, k5, sl2, p2sso, k5, yo, k1
row 15: kfb, k5, sl2, p2sso, k5, kfb
Row17: repeat row 15

Finished first skein of yarn, got through the first garter and stockinette rows plus 3 repeats of pattern.
Plan: repeat rows 1-17 until almost out of yarn (aprox 4 balls or maybe 3 pattern repeats into 5th ball), then knit stockinette for 8 rows, Garter stitch for 4 rows. Then do the frilly edging part with saved yarn from beginning.
