Notes

I’m so happy to finally be knitting the Krista Tee as I’ve had the pattern for quite some time now!

Knitting at a smaller gauge (18 st/4”) than the pattern, so I’m making the 3rd size. However, that gives me a lot of repeats of stitch pattern B, and since I don’t want quite so many “lace stripes” on the garment, I modified it to have panels of 13 stockinette stitches in between the decreases and yarn-overs. This lined up the decr/yo appropriately over the stitch pattern A.

I’m hoping that the smaller gauge will counter that stretch-out factor that I sometimes find with cotton-bamboo blend yarns…yes, I did swatch, but occasionally a garment still stretches differently than a smaller square of the fabric. I’m confident that it will work out well, however!

Yep--the sizing worked out perfectly! Oh, and I forgot to say that I knit this gal circularly. Even the set-in sleeves were done simultaneously as described by Elizabeth Zimmerman (aka Knitting Goddess) in The Knitter’s Almanac.
