I fell in love with this yarn and its colors, but I’d never used thick and thin yarn before. I couldn’t find any crochet patterns for it, but there were tons of knit patterns. I don’t feel comfortable enough in knitting yet to attempt something with this kind of yarn.

I tried a couple of different cowl patterns for this, but the way the colors change, nothing looked good when I finished. I decided I couldn’t continue to stitch and frog with this yarn, so this pattern was my last chance.

Rather than chain each chain individually and then cut and weave, I decided to make one long chain, and then connect it at the end. It was a bear to get the loops all about the same length, but I finally got it good enough, and then I took the tail and wrapped around without cutting. I don’t think I even paid attention to how it was supposed to be done according to the pattern. The only cutting I did was at the end when I’d weaved the tail into the “handle.”
