Very simple, textural cowl/scarf design.
Pattern:
Cast on however many stitches you want (I think I did 30)
Knit 6 rows garter stitch
Knit 6 rows seed stitch
Repeat this pattern 2 more times
Knit 12 rows stockinette stitch

Repeat to desired length.
I ended after doing 4 rows of stockinette stitch (which is where I attached buttons
