Another great handwarmer pattern by The Purl Bee. This one is fantastic to show off a self-striping yarn like BdF’s Goomy 50.

About the yarn, I was quite disappointed to find that twice in the same 50g ball the yarn had been cut and re-attached randomly, without following the striping colour sequence. I’d planned on making two identical mittens, with matching stripes and had managed to start the second one at the same place in the sequence as the first one but that cut yarn messed it all up. So the first half of the second mitten matches up to the first one, but not the top part. They still look fine but I’m a bit bummed about that.
This is the third time I’ve used that yarn now and it never happened before so I’m hoping it was an exception.
