Right. We live in a place where warm wool socks are a valuable and often-used commodity. Due to the move, both the boy and I ended up with only one pair of usable socks each. So when I started up crocheting again, one of my priorities was replenishing our wool sock supply. This was my first attempt at doing so. I used a pattern I’d worked up before, so was fairly comfortable with how they came together. Funny thing about not picking up a hook for 6 years, though -- you kinda forget about the gauge thing. So, erm, the socks that had been meant for me kept growing bigger and bigger (much to my dismay) until they became… manly maroon socks. Good thing I chose a gender neutral color, eh?

I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease 4-ply, which for some reason didn’t show up on the yarn database. Boo.
