T is surprisingly lacking in cold weather accessories, considering he was born and raised in one of the world’s coldest countries. To help with this problem, I decided last year that I would make at least one scarf per year for him. More if time or inspiration struck. The last one I made was in bright colors for his hockey team, so only tended to be appropriate for wearing out to games. This particular scarf is a bit more muted and meant to be useful for more day-to-day activities.

Have made a few alterations to the base pattern already, going with a finer gauge of yarn and smaller needles. We like our scarves skinnier and longer for better winding and layering :-) Chained on 44 to begin, will update with final row count.

10/24 -- Finished! It took 3 weeks, but to be fair, that was mostly due to the wedding and associated activities that took place in between. Otherwise this probably would’ve been a 2/3 day thing. The finished length is 66 inches, and it’s just the right size to be warm yet unobtrusive underneath multiple winter layers. Yay!
