Notes

This cowl was inspired by the Outlander TV series. It is a very easy pattern which you can find here on my blog post http://janeporcupine.blogspot.de/2014/11/outlander-inspir...

I used three strands in total - 2 of the softie and one of the tweed to bulk up the yarn to a similar weight as used by Claire in Outlander. The tweed yarn mixed in with the softie gives the cowl an overall rustic look and breaks up the solid red of the softie yarn. I chose red because it works well with grey and beige, two colours I wear a lot.

It was completed in an evening on size 20mm needles I purchased from RICE. Even though it is a very bulky yarn the softie makes it light and very soft to touch. I have worn this many times already and would like to try another in a different shade.
