I finished the right mitt and then hibernated this project.

Now I’m picking it up again to knit as a birthday present for my SIL. The mitt is too big for my hand and I know it’ll be too big for my SIL too so I’m CO 50 stitches for the left mitt to modify the size. If it fits well I will frog the right mitt and reknit it.

Left mitt with 6 stitches less is a perfect fit.

I ran out of yarn when I was casting off the left mitt before I had gotten to the thumb yet. This pattern says only 1 ball of the BSA Royal is needed but I don’t know how that is possible. I’ve read many other project notes saying they ran out of yarn too. I’m hoping that once I frog the right mitt and knit it smaller I will have enough yarn.

Reknit the right mitt and even with the slimmer fit I really had to scrounge for enough yarn to bind off the thumbs even after knitting them shorter.
