7/27: Pattern calls for size six needles. I swatched with 4s and 3s (I usually have to go down two needle size). After washing and drying my swatch, I like the fabric created with the 4s a bit better but the 3s are closer to gauge so that is what I am going with. The difference is slight enough that I would rather have the correct gauge.

7/28: Cast on for the lace yoke.
