Notes

Started the shawl back in April 2009. I am almost done with it but I have since put it down.

I think i’m gonna have to frog the whole thing when i see it again (its currently at home with my husband on the other side of the atlantic ocean :P)

The beads have made it tedious and I have a whole bunch of mistakes in the patterns.

Will update when I have it in my possesion again.

24 Feb- Well I have the shawl….frogged it completely…and now wish I would have frogged it only as far as it was messed up. I am having trouble getting its started now with the circle cast on. I am using the crochet cast on like I did the first time but I am having difficulties keeping it neat looking. Will try again later.

28 Feb- started the shawl again finally…hopefully will do better this time and get it done in a timely manner.

4 Mar - I have been working like crazy on this shawl. I am on the last pattern now before the large yo, ssk border. So far it looks like I might have made one or two small mistakes in the Bleeding hearts pattern. And whats odd is I have no idea how when I was using a stitch marker after every 12 stitches….I guess it still happens. Oh well. Its not nearly as bad as last time so I am foraging on. :)
Need to post new pictures. I know!

5 Mar - The top picture is the second take on the shawl and was taken yesterday. I am maybe 4 or 5 rounds farther now. And I plan on getting most of the Madeira pattern finished this weekend.

8 Mar - ARGH! I am on the second set of leaves on the Madeira pattern and I noticed that I have screwed up somewhere again. I am seriously not happy right now!! (Doesn’t help that everything else in my life is enough to wanna yell FML!) I hate ripping out rounds!!!! Such a time waster! But…somehow…I have to find the strength… I’m so disappointed….

---later that evening (lol)…so I have ripped out the stitched to round 19. I even put a lifeline in at round 1 (or so I think). Got some good information here….but since the first half of the madeira section turned out perfect without actually following this, I am gonna go in and see how well it will work without moving the marker on rounds 23 and 27. I drew rounds 19 through 37 on graph paper in a repeat pattern and if I dont move the markers on those rounds, all works out. So, I am going to attempt that first, if it doesn’t work, I will have to rip out the entire thing and use the info from the link about.

9 Mar - Ok…today I said screw it and just ripped out the entire madeira section. I am gonna put a lifeline in at round 20 just in case. I am hoping that all works will this time and I am able to get most of the pattern done today. But I gotta get my ass on it. :D

12 Mar - finished the madeira pattern on the 10th and moved up needle sized to US8. Slowly working on the yo, k2tog portion!

6 May - Wow its been a while. Lots went on during the end of march and april. So I’m finally back. I have about 17 rounds left of the shawl before its finished. I haven’t been too worried about it. But being lazy with it.

26 May - Completed and blocked shawl. Don’t have a big enough pot to dye so its staying its natural color right now. Also, I ran out of yarn so I didn’t get to do the last 6 rounds… but its nice and sits on the back of my couch. :D
