Notes

5/1/12- Gauge swatch time. As it turns out I am a loose knitter so I’m already down to a size 3, we’ll see if that works or if I need to go to the 2 before I even get to the blocking part of the swatch…

5/28/12- There was a series of issues bringing this one home that made me feel a bit like Sisyphus toward the end- Missed a step in the instructions that had me headdesking for hours trying to figure out why my stitch count was off, had to knit three cuffs because I forgot to pull the loop through on the first one and ended up unraveling most of the bind off which, since it’s lace, meant the whole cuff was unravled because I couldn’t successfully pick up the stitches and fix it… Lost power while picking up stitches for the neckline. Just all kinds of weird. But it’s off the needles and finished but for the blocking. Fits BEAUTIFULLY! I so love this sweater and I can’t wait to wear it! As much as I love not to reknit things, I think I will make this one again. Maybe a different lace pattern but the basic sweater is so easy and the fit is spectacular. A great “base” pattern to work with!
