I was amazed at how quickly this hat flew off my needles. I started after my safe return from an Order of the Phoneix mission and cast it off before turning in for the night! In order to avoid it looking TOO “Christmasy” I went for deeper shades of red and green instead of the true colors. Overall it worked but with one small flaw- very early in the knitting I realized this hat totally reminds me of the sweater worn by creepy 80’s movie mass killer, Freddy Krueger. I had originally planned to give this one to my hubby for Christmas but the truth is I don’t think it can live in my house as I will never stop singing the song from the movie if it does, so it will have to keep someone else’s head warm!
