As I have mentioned a number of times in other classes, I am a HUGE fan of the muggle game of football. Sure, there’s no flying, there’s only one ball and no Golden Snitch and the stadiums are very small, only holding 65,000 or 70,000 muggles at any given time, I still find something about this game positively irresistible. When it comes to muggle football, my heart belongs to the Green Bay Packers, but if they aren’t playing, I will seek out my second favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers and cheer for them instead. Since I’ve already made my mister a hat sporting the colors of my first love, I decided this time to craft something in the Steeler’s Black & Gold.

The hat is representative of the helmet muggle players must wear while playing the game. Apparently, since they aren’t able to use magic for healing broken bones and the likes, there is great concern for safety in this muggle sport and protecting the players heads is a big priority. As yarn is not known for it’s protective qualities where 300lb men flying at your head are concerned, I’ve treated the hat with a simple Unbreakable Charm to protect the wearer’s head while inside the hat. While Mr. sly does not play football and would, in fact, be complete rubbish at it if he tried, he does have a nasty habit of knocking his head into random objects causing nasty head wounds and trips to the muggle emergency room to stitch his head back together so I think he will still realize some benefit from the charmed hat!
