Notes

December 3, 2012 - This has been done for ages but I forgot to update it in my notebook.

July 16, 2010 - Changed the name of this to the Mossy Capelet as I don’ think this is the right project for the poppies. Again, on the hunt for the right way to incorporate poppies into my wardrobe. :)

June 21 2010 - I have finished button bands and I think I will be using a couple of lovely buttons my father made - they are made from wood (cherry) and I think they will go nicely with the green yarns. I am also debating whether this is the right project for the knit poppies. I will decide when I complete the capelet itself if it is able to be adorned with poppies. If not, I will start another project because I really want something with knit poppies on it. hmm…
I need to hunt through the stash tonight to decide on a green yarn to use for the trim as I don’t think I have enough of the Manos or Malabrigo to do a trim. I think I might use the Point Lace from Franklin Habit here: http://knitty.com/ISSUEss10/FEATss10SIT.php

June 18, 2010 - The Malabrigo panel is done and I have grafted the two together. Looking nice so far - working on a button band.

January 13 2010 - Picked this back up today and decided that instead of trimming it I might make a layered garment so I have cast on a new panel in the Malabrigo yarn. I am going to do some sketches. Ball would the Kidlin.

December 30 2009 - This has been hanging out on my mannequin for a few weeks now and I need to pick it back up. I have decided to attempt to modify this trim and add it with the malabrigo.

December 10 2009 - Finished the bulk of the neck portion and I have enough of the Manos left to make a knitted clasp. I am considering lengthening it a bit more with a nice knitted trim from a ball of Malabrigo.

On December 6th, The Odd Ducks Swaps of Ravelry group had a SW Ontario meetup and I was feeling uninspired working on a sock so picked up some yarn to start a cowl or capelet - something with poppies. Photos soon.
