I made the scarf using size 6 needles in order to narrow the width of the finished scarf. (The yarn also helped in that regard since Paton’s Classic wool is not as heavy as the yarn called for in the pattern.) I think the hat was made using either a 7 or 8 needle size, I don’t exactly recall. I adapted the hat pattern for working in the round to eliminate the seam.
