project #2 for baby girl Gray….using leftover yarn from this sweater
I did a crochet edging all the way around (H hook) ~ on cast on and bind off edges I single crocheted into every stitch…on the button placket edges I single crocheted into every slipped edge stitch and then chained 1 before single crocheting into the next slipped stitch (I’m not a crocheter so I hope I’m using the right terms ~ I youtubed to make sure but I could be wrong!)
buttons ~ I picked 7 buttons from the button jar, sewed them on, took them right back off -ick! went button shopping and found the perfect buttons I think!
so…I spent so much time trying to understand bottom up raglan construction and wondering how to attach completed sleeves to a work in progress that when I actually got to that point, my lack of spacial skills got the best of me and I attached the arms upside down ~ I was so worried about them being on the right side and not ending up on the wrong side that this glaring goof escaped me until they were on ~~ then after reattaching them the correct way, I discovered that I had evenly spaced my sleeve increases instead of doing them next to the stitch marker (how did I miss that line??)…needless to say, the sleeves stayed on the sweater and the goof will have to stay! nothing like making something simple NOT!!! it is adorable despite my best efforts to mess it up ;)
