Notes

01/08/09 - finished! I meant to knit it longer than it was supposed to be, but it’s still a little short. Ah well. Such is life.

21/07/09 - I finished the front band some time ago, but haven’t gotten around to doing the armholes cos I can’t find the print of the pattern. It must be somewhere around here. I should just use the pattern directly from the internets.

15/06/09 - finished the main body, now onto the picked-up front band. I went for every other stitch along the ribbing, 3 of every 4 stitches along the lace sections, and every stitch along the back of the neck. I ended up with 192 stitches rather than 180, but it seems ok.

24/03/09 - It didn’t like the recommended needle size so I dropped down to a 5mm, and it is looking excellent. It has instantly good drape and was getting compliments within the first few inches of pattern. I feel good.

20/03/09 - I am using a recycled jumper for this. I felt when I saw said jumper that it wanted to be something pretty, so I liberated it from its oppressive surroundings and spent a long time with it sat sadly on the dining room floor waiting for me to attend to it. Then I bought a random copy of Yarn Forward which contained some excellent tips for the demolition of charity shop jumpers, and leapt into action. It was fun… in fact it was so much fun I invented the term FUNRAVELLING. That’s unravelling which is not due to personal error. Do you like it? Do you?
