Finished yesterday!!! I used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off and I loved it. Now to get started on the beanie and fingerless mitts!

Ok so the yarn and needles were not the right choice for these specific socks. I got some Cascade Super wash Heritage in a charcoal gray. I started to knit in a US2 but didnt like the fabric so switching to US1 DPN’s. Wish me luck! These have to be knit and mailed by mid-November :)

Making these for my little brother Gabriel who is going to serve his country and go to Afghanistan in November of 2010. I wanted to make something for him to take and remind him of home and keep his feet warm on those cold desert nights.

They are taking longer than expected since the needles and yarn are very fine for a mans foot:).

Pattern
I think I casted on 14 using the figure eight cast on. Increased 4 sts at every other round for a total of 68 sts. Doing a 1x3 rib for foot and cuff.
