Knitting: Mittens
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless mittens are a quick and cozy knit with a fun texture! Knit in the round from the cuff up, the honeycomb texture is created by floating strands of yarn in front of the work and then picking them up on subsequent rounds. A strap and button add a cute finish!
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit with a double strand of bulky weight yarn to make it extra chunky, soft, and squishy. Vertical columns of slipped stitches give it an interesting texture, while breaks of garter stitch help it sit nicely on the shoulders.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mittens are knit in the round from the cuff up. The thumbhole is constructed by holding a place in the knitted fabric with scrap yarn. After construction of the mitten body is complete, the stitches above and below the scrap yarn are picked up and the scrap yarn is removed.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
An oversized chunky cable hat with a pom pom, this hat is knit in the round on circular needles with an increase in stitches after knitting the brim.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
With a pleated cuff and top edge, the Afton Mittens have great texture from top to bottom. Three cables create the centerpiece for the back of the mitten. Constructed in the round with a thumb gusset, these mittens knit up quickly for cool fall days and spring nights.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is chunky knit with a double strand of yarn in oatmeal gray. It features a hood that can be worn up to keep your head warm or down around your neck. Knit in the round, its relatively simple construction knits up quickly, making it a great gift idea!
Knitting: Cowl
This infinity scarf is perfect for keeping out the chill on cold blustery days! Knit in the round, this scarf features a seamless basket weave texture. Created with larger needles and a double strand of yarn, it is a relatively quick project that works for men and women alike!
