This hat was inspired by Knittergized’s hat on Ravelry. The motif comes from Estonian Socks in the book Folk Socks, and the braid is a technique common to knitting around the Baltic Sea. The top, as knit, is flat.

This hat is knit from the top down, and uses one skein of each yarn for a medium sized adult head. If you plan to make it extra long or for a large head, extra skeins may be necessary.
