This pattern is designed for that beautiful variegated skein of yarn that called to you. It found a place in your stash but there just isn’t quite enough for a decent sized project. Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is a very versatile and pretty mitt that is great for running errands on cool days or keeping hands warm in a chilly office. I used Jaggerspun’s Organic Green Line yarn in a sport weight. The center honeycomb panel is framed by a twisted rib. It gives a lot of texture and depth to the colorful Peace Fleece yarn. This pattern repeats every twelve rows....
Knitting: Scarf
This is a scarf was designed for a friend who loves cables and seed stitch (and the color blue). The result combines a center twisted cable flanked by twisted stitches and braids with a seed stitch border. My original idea had the cables as multiples of 2 stitches, but I beefed them up to multiples of three after a test swatch was done. Now the...

This scarf is comprised of a plaited cable flanked by twists. The dense braid makes for a very warm winter scarf. The cables are done every 4 rows. They are not complicated and the pattern is easily memorized. A simple cable pattern with dramatic effects. 2 skeins of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride worsted weight yarn will yield a scarf that is about ...
