Allodola is worked from tip to tip and features an easy slipped stitch pattern and a gently ruffled edge. The ruffle is created using short rows and is worked at the same time as the main body of the shawl. No stitches need to be picked up, and no seaming is required.

Willow is a lovely capelet worked in our super soft Glimmer yarn. A cable band is worked first and stitches are picked up for the body. Lace graces the bottom edge. It can be worn around the shoulders like a wrap or around the waist like a sarong.

For some reason, I’m not exactly sure why, but I have a cowl aversion. Not an aversion to garments like this one, but rather a dislike of calling these garments cowls. Therefore, this is a pattern for a neckwarmer and Not A Cowl.

While paging through the Barbara Walker Treasuries, I saw Chinese Lace and immediately pictured long lines of Chinese dragons snaking down the streets during New Year’s celebrations. Bright bold colors came to mind, reds, yellows, the vibrancy of paper lanterns and colorful costumes.
