Crochet: Headband
This pattern is for a crocheter who is comfortable with all the basics and ready to try some new skills. Front and back post stitches are not hard but you need to be fairly proficient with maneuvering your hook. The rose is very fun. I made lots of them in all different gauges while I was working on the pattern and I will be using this flower i...
Crochet: Headband
This soft and cosy headband is warm enough for a crisp day but cottony enough to wear through spring as well. The stitch pattern is simpler than it looks. A beginner who is confident with single and double crochet should have no problem. And the flower is a great one for someone who has not yet tried crochet embellishments. It will make you wan...
Crochet: Headband
This pattern is for the intermediate crocheter. You should feel comfortable with all of the basic stitches so that you can learn to work front and back post stitches as well as triple crochet. I will have a video demonstration of the basket-weave stitch which shows how to do front and back post crochets on Youtube shortly.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque, Cloche Hat
A sweet little hat that is simple enough for a beginning crocheter who is comfortable with the basics and is ready to try a few extras. Even the little scallop edge and the flower only require basic stitches, so if you can work a sc, hdc, and dc this will be a simple project.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Knit this pattern in an evening. It’s simple and fun to knit. This is my first time to work with Cascade Cash Vero. It’s the perfect baby yarn--so soft and yummy.
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This washcloth is quick and easy to crochet and makes a cheery little gift or stocking stuffer. The pattern can easily be adjusted to make matching dishclothes or placemats.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I designed this pair of hand warmers to knit for friends and family this year. I have been wearing the first pair I made since I finished them. They are soft and warm and snuggly. I have made them in both the Universal “Classic Shades” and also in Wisdom Yarns “Poems.” They are equally soft and knit beautifully but if you prefer to work with on...
Knitting: Headband
This is a more lightweight headband than the other three designs and would be great throughout even the warm weather. Berocco “Weekend” is a lovely yarn and although it is primarily acrylic with 25% cotton it is very hard to believe it is not an all-cotton yarn. The colors are beautiful and springlike and at $6.00/skein the price is very entici...
Knitting: Headband
This pattern works well with a lot of yarns, just check your gauge carefully in the pattern stitch because you don’t want your headband to turn out too wide. I was inspired by the beautiful green shade of Blue Sky Alpaca’s Organic Cotton to make the “Irish Rose” in time for St. Patrick’s day this year. I almost crocheted a shamrock to embellish...
Knitting: Headband
My daughter and her friends are loving all the knit headbands this year so I decided to design a few of my own. This pattern works well in a variety of yarns. The one shown in the photo is in Bue Sky Alpaca’s yummy, fluffy organic cotton for spring but it would be wonderful for winter in a snuggly wool or alapaca. I just finished anothert one t...
Knitting: Headband, Earwarmers
This headband knits up quickly and easily in a variety of yarns but check your gauge in the pattern or it will be too wide. The Berocco “Weekend” yarn used doubled wokred well and comes in yummy colors this spring. Once you make a few of the flowers you will want to embellish many of your knit projects with them. It is easy to customize this to...
