100 grams of fingering weight yarn.

Used in Iron Knitter competition 2010.

When I designed this cap, I asked my twin granddaughters to model it for me. They are twelve and thought it looked “stupid” according to their mom who took the picture. When they tried it on though, they were very impressed and now I have to knit each of them one for their birthday - one red and one in teal to go with their winter coats.

Designer’s Note: When I saw this pennant design, it struck me that football season was just around the corner and that every fan ought to have at least one pair of socks in their team colors!

Lacy ribbed socks in variegated cotton/wool blend yarn make great spring socks. Yardage is estimated, depends on length of foot.

Short rows shape the mouth of the fish, garter stitch fins and googly eyes add to the look. The textured fish scales pattern is pretty easy, too.
