Use highly contrasting yarn to get a defined look where the pattern stands out and complementing colors for more subtle colorwork. The design for this wrap began as a daydream as I was sitting on a beach in Hawaii. I had brought along yarn that resembled the color scheme of the islands and wanted to incorporate a pattern that encompassed that same feeling. After a few swatches and some trial and error, Kahakai (“beach” in Hawaiian) came to life!
