I wanted to design a piece that had easy construction and a stitch pattern that was interesting lace. Cardigans are a staple in my closet and living in CO it can go from 80 degrees to 50 degrees in a matter of hours in the fall so it is always nice to have something that can be thrown on over anything. The Goldenrod fits the bill.

As always, I design things that I would like to wear. Sweater vest are some of my favorite things to wear and it just so happens that cables are some of my favorite stitches. When the wonderful owners of Buffalo Wool Co. (formally Buffalo Gold) asked me to design a piece for them of course I had to go with a cabled vest!
