I’m a crafter; I have a room to prove it. But the last few years, knitting has what has brought me so much joy! Even an opportunity to design something! I’ve always been the kind of person who would rather make it than buy it, knitting illusion has been the first time that more than one other person wants to make what I made…so one viral instagram video later, here we are.

I’m a former math teacher turned homeschooling stay-at-home mom, craft hobbyist, and the creative mind behind @phungandcrafty on Instagram. My brain has always loved figuring out how things work, and my design journey started because I fell completely in love with the “witchcraft” and optical magic of illusion knitting.

When I’m not teaching my two wonderful kids, hanging out with my dogs (Porto and Chanti), or traveling the world on a cruise ship with my family, you can find me playing with yarn, testing out contrast tricks, and dragging my incredibly supportive husband through local fiber fairs.
