Hi I’m Rae! I’ve been crocheting since I was about nine years old, and over the years, I’ve made a little bit of everything, from blankets and amigurumi to pillows and clothing. For a long time, crochet was mostly a fall and winter hobby. There’s something about shorter days and cooler weather that makes me want to settle in and make something cozy.These days, I’m interested in seeing what else crochet can be.

I love a good blanket as much as anyone, but I’m especially drawn to delicate wearables, lightweight yarns, and everyday pieces with thoughtful little details. I started designing patterns because I wanted to challenge myself creatively and explore ideas I wasn’t always finding elsewhere.

Day With Rae is where I share those explorations. My goal is to create patterns that encourage you to try a new technique, experiment with a different yarn, or make something you wouldn’t normally consider crocheting. You might even find yourself wondering whether it’s crochet at all!

When I’m not crocheting something, you can usually find me practicing yoga, tending to my garden, reading, playing cozy games, or exploring a new coffee shop here in Los Angeles.
