The pattern is written in US crochet terms and worked by creating different 10x10 inch squares using various stitches, then seamed together. The pattern guides you through making a throw-sized blanket (50 x 60 inches), however it is easy to adapt to make any size you prefer, simply by adding additional squares to the length or width.

The Frost & Linen Afghan explores contrast through texture and color. Bold glacier blue stitches (Alpine and Berry) create raised, dimensional texture, while the softer aran squares (Suzette and Moss) provide balance. The blanket is built from individual squares, making it a satisfying modular crochet project you can work on one piece at a time.

This project is great for crocheters who enjoy:
• Crochet blanket squares
• Textured crochet stitches
• Modular crochet blanket projects
• Relaxing, slow crochet projects built square by square

For the Frost & Linen Afghan I used Loops & Threads Impeccable Acrylic yarn in the shades “Glacier” and “Aran”. This acrylic worsted weight is easy to work with, affordable, machine washable, and allows the stitch definition in this pattern pop. If you’d like to customize, you can substitute with any medium (4) worsted weight yarn.
