I learned to knit when I was about 5 or 6. I picked it back up in college for a short while. A number of years later, I went back to school and got an engineering degree. When I was done with that, I suddenly had lots of time on my hands…so, I started knitting again. At that time, I decided it was finally time to learn how to read a pattern (scarves, sweaters, blankets, etc had all been improvised until then), discovered ravelry and knit every day.

I found myself making major mods to most patterns or just making things up. My sit-n-knit friends eventually encouraged me to write up my patterns, so they could make my stuff too ;)
