My name is Catherine, I’m the busy creative mind behind Kat and Stitches.

I’m a self-taught knitter who loves textured and coloured knitting projects. It’s fascinating how making loops with yarn and sticks can create garments. From the more basic to the more intricate designs, the techniques used are all based on making loops.

After knitting other people’s designs for a few years, my creativity kicked in and filled my brain with lots of design ideas. It was time for me to bring my ideas to life and create my own knitwear designs. I share most of my pattern design process on Patreon and also on Youtube.

My busy creative mind wanted to go even further and create knitting related products such as hand made notions, prints, accessories. And thus, Kat and Stitches was born.
