Hiya! I’m Sonya, a freelance artist and crochet nerd.

I first learned to crochet years ago, after the birth of my first kiddo. He was born with a port wine stain that covered the entire right side of his face. From the time he was 6 months old, he has had treatments to lessen the severity of this birthmark. As such, I have spent a lot of time in Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s waiting rooms. I needed something to do while waiting so I asked my mother-in-law teach me how to crochet. Needless to say, I was “hooked”….(I’ll see myself out >.>).

Seven years and 2 more kids later and I’m still at it. It’s a nice physical activity that gives me a tangible object once finished and I absolutely adore the feeling of “I made dis.”

I really enjoy most nerdy pursuits and generally design accordingly. Bright colors, wonderful combinations, and fantasy themes are all my jam.
