編み機のプロ、 近あづき さんとのコラボになります。

目数の増減なし。２色（１段ごと）の模様編み（シングルジャカード）、ダブル始末、タッピ返し、とじ が学べる内容になっています。

ジャカードはパンチカードは無くても手選針で編むことができます。編み機のステップアップにぜひトライしてみてください！

編み機の場合：編み機 ４．５ピッチ

手編みの場合：０号（ゴム編み部分）、２号（模様編み部分）

This pattern is a collaboration with knitting machine expert Azuki Kon.
Please note that instructions for the hand-knitted version are also included. Due to the structure of the gloves, the thumb section is designed differently for each method, using specifications suited to each tool.

“One of the joys of knitting machines is that each model has its own unique capabilities. With that in mind, I designed this pattern using fundamental techniques as much as possible, so it can be worked on a wide range of knitting machines.
The worsted wool yarn has a soft feel, making these long gloves comfortable to wear without feeling scratchy against the skin.

I hope you’ll enjoy making and comparing them using both hand knitting and a domestic knitting machine.”

This pattern does not require any increasing or decreasing of stitches.
It teaches the following techniques: two-color pattern knitting with alternating colors every row, also known as single jacquard, double bind-off, tappi return, and seaming.

The jacquard pattern can be knitted by manually selecting the needles, so a punch card is not required.
If you’re looking to take the next step with your knitting machine, this is a great project to try.

A free blank stitch-and-row chart is also included, so you can arrange the pattern with your favorite motifs.

Merino Wool “Matane” yarn — 110 g total
Color G: 60 g
Color A: 25 g

Tools
For a knitting machine:
4.5 mm pitch knitting machine
(The sample was made using Brother KH-851 and Pelier S / KH-894.)
For hand knitting:
US 0 / 2.1 mm needles for the ribbing
US 1 / 2.4 mm needles for the patterned section
Circular needles or a set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles

Finished Size
Please note that the finished measurements are approximate and may vary slightly depending on your machine and knitting tension.
Total length: approximately 28 cm (11 in)
Hand circumference (patterned section): approximately 20 cm (8 in)
