02 Twisted Tank
Note: During testing the purl spacing between cable charts was altered slightly, refer to the testers images.
The size should be chosen based on your chest measurement. The tank is designed with 8 - 10 cm/3 - 4” of positive ease. This means the garment will be approx. 8 - 10 cm/3 - 4” larger than your actual bust circumference. Before you begin, measure yourself to determine the right size. If you are in between sizes, choose the size based on how you would prefer the garment to fit.
DESCRIPTION
The 02 Twisted Tank is a relaxed cable slipover, suitable for wearing all year round. It’s perfect for layering over shirts and long sleeve tops, or over pretty dresses for a more contemporary look. The tank is worked from the bottom up with a small amount of positive ease at the bust.
To begin, the Front hem is cast on and worked in twisted rib, followed by the Back. These pieces are joined together creating the side splits at the hem, and the body is worked in the round. The Front is worked with a beautifully intricate central cable design that is surrounded by double moss stitch. A few twisted rib stitches continue from the hem to the armhole, creating a faux side seam to separate the Front and Back.
Next, the armhole shaping is worked while the body continues being worked flat. The Neckline and shoulders are shaped, and the shoulders are seamed together.
To finish, the Neckband and Armholes are finished with folded twisted rib bands and voilà! your 02 Twisted Tank is complete.
