ARAN WIDE VEST — Cable Knit Bottom-Up Construction
This vest features a wide body and deep armholes. It can be worn with any type of clothing underneath, so you can enjoy layering it with a knit turtleneck, shirt, or dress with large sleeves. The deep armholes are edged with garter stitch folded trim to maintain their shape and create a beautiful silhouette.
The body is worked in pieces from the bottom up (with the armhole edging worked in garter stitch at the same time), then sewn together. The shoulders are shaped using wrap and turn short rows, then joined using 3-needle BO. The armhole edging is folded in half to the wrong side and sewn in place.
