Diamond Vest — Cables & Seed Stitch
This vest is comprised of small diamond patterns connected by twisted stitches. The detailed seed stitch softens the cables and pulls the composition together. Rather than design a standard V-neck, I made a gently curved neckband lined with small buttons. The yarn used is German Merino Light by mominoki yarn, a hand-dyed yarn from Germany. You can wear it both dressed up or down.
This vest is worked back and forth from the bottom-up. The shoulders are shaped with short rows, then joined using a 3-needle bind-off. The neckband is picked up and knit from the neckline and worked in 1x1 ribbing. Pattern instructions are in text; the stitch pattern is in text and chart.
