1/12th Scale Shetland Lace Shawl (75)
This stole was originally designed to be draped around the shoulders of a Dollshouse bride.
It has a simple centre section of flowers on a garter stitch background. At each short end is a border of fern stitch with small central diamonds. The edging uses a fan or scallop stitch that is often found on traditional shawls and stoles.
I would suggest that the yarn used for this stole should be no thicker than DMC 100 Special Dentelles which gives good stitch definition but doesn’t drape too well when made up on size 19 needles. You could try using thicker needles if you are limited to this yarn. The finished piece in the photo is made using Venne Colcoton 70/2, which drapes beautifully and was very light giving a good likeness to an authentic Shetland Lace stole.
