This cowl is perfect for adding some cheer to a cold day! The goal of this pattern is to make the most out of only one hank of hand dyed or luxury yarn. All it takes is 100 grams of dk yarn (roughly 245 yards, with instructions in the pattern for adjustments).

Varigated colors? Speckle yarn? Kettle dyes? These yarns are prefect for this cowl, even if you only have 100 grams. The stitches used are meant to stretch yardage to its maximum potential, so that you get a nice sized project even with limited yarn, and they are meant to give lots of texture and visual interest that compliments hand dyed yarn.

Instructions (with photos!) are included in the pattern for making pom poms using only a piece of scrap cardboard. So no need for special equipment!

The pom poms are attached to a drawstring, which means you can tighten the cowl closer to your neck on colder days.

It is a scientific fact that pom poms are pure joy.

Dimensions of the finished cowl:
17 inches diameter (34 inches around)
9 inches wide
