This pattern is an updated and revised version of a 1930’s knitting pattern for a beret style hat with decorative side bow.
Yarn requirements are one 50 gram ball of fingering weight yarn. Sample shown is knit in Knit Picks Palette yarn. Other suitable yarns are Jamieson Shetland Spindrift, Holst Garn Supersoft and Holst Garn Coast.
The instructions are for top down knitting in the round using 3mm needles,can also be knit flat and seamed.
For larger or smaller sizes go up or down a needle size.
