1968 is a cozy, oversized cardigan with a boxy shape and wide sleeves, perfect for layering over shirts and dresses on those cold spring and summer evenings. The cardigan is knitted top down. You will start by casting on stitches for the back of the neck and shaping shoulders with increases. After that the back and
front panels are worked flat down to underarms, and then joined to work the body. Sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round.
As the cardigan is knitted top-down, you can also decide on the length as you go. The pattern and the yardage have been given for an average height of 165 cm / 5‘5’’ and a slightly cropped fit.
SIZING:
The measurements listed below are for the final cardigan after washing and blocking and with the button band closed. This pattern comes in 9 sizes (1, 2, 3) (4, 5, 6) (7, 8, 9) with finished bust circumference measuring (85, 95, 105) (115, 125, 135) (145, 155, 165) cm / (34, 38, 42) (46, 50, 54) (58, 62, 66)
inches and is meant to be worn with a positive ease of 15-30 cm / 6-12 inches at the bust. The sample is shown in size 4 with 24 cm / 9.5 inches of positive ease at the bust.

NEEDLES:
• Size A - 80-120 cm Circular needles – 3.75 mm (US 5) for stockinette flat and slip st pattern in the round
• Size B - 80-120 cm Circular needles – 3 mm (US 2.5) for ribbing
