This easy headband is a great project to work on while watching tv or sports, or listening to music. It knits up quickly in thick yarn. I spun my own, but will also make these from two strand of worsted or a mix of worsted, sports weight, and/or fingering…whatever gets me the correct gauge in yarn I like.
It is knit in ribbing and stockinette so you have a rectangle to play with. I recently bought labels so I stuck one on (with a piece of felt on the back to secure those grommets). I plan to embroider on some, monogram others, and stick sports patches on the ones I make for grandkids.
Sneak one in each of your coat pockets so you are never left out in the cold without headgear!
And remember, wool is very warm, even when wet.
Have fun with it!
