Football season is around the corner so let’s show off our football pride and knit along together in this shawl.

This shawl was created for the Huskers football team in Lincoln, NE and this pattern represents the proud features of GO BIG RED - Memorial Stadium, the Great Big Red Wave and the victorious pride of the players, lifelong fans and our new head coach, Scott Frost.

You may choose to follow your own football team colors if you would like.

This project requires 3 skeins - 2 in the main color and 1 in a high contrast color.

This shawl is shaped as a semi circle and is very good sized for all body types. This shawl will wrap nicely around your neck and be long and wide enough to wrap yourself up in during the games, either at the stadium or while tailgating.

This is my first published pattern and through this experience, I have learned a great deal about pattern writing, chart making and dealing with the creative struggles of writing patterns. I have gained even more respect for all designers out there. I hope you enjoy the pattern as much as I did writing it.

I would like to thank my wonderful test knitter, Jill, who was very patient with me during this process and gave me great pattern suggestions.

Enjoy and Happy Knitting!!!
