Welcome to our first original 2018 Mystery Blanket KAL from The Yarn Shop in Lincoln, NE. This is our fun way to ease into knitting for the new year and to take a step back into our childhood reading past times.
Do you remember reading the choose your own adventure books? They are still around and very popular so we came up with an idea of writing our own adventure and knitting a blanket along with it. As you read the story you choose which path you want your character to take which determines what stitch pattern to knit. This will make each and every blanket unique, not only in color combos but also by stitch patterns.
This mystery KAL is great for all skill levels and a great source of knitting different texture stitches. It’s similar to a stitch sampler project but our blanket requires no seaming of squares and it is knitted all in one piece.
The story clues will be released January 15, 2018 and each month thereafter on the 15th until July 2018. Each participating knitter who purchased the yarn from us will receive a special gift for completing the blanket.
By July 2018 you will have a nice size throw to lounge in while your knitting on the couch or you can give it as a gift. Approximate size is 35” x 60”.

Materials Needed:
Cascade 128 superwash in 5 colors - 3 skeins each (15 skeins total)
Size 9 circular needle - 47” cable
Darning Needle for sewing in ends
2 stitch markers - to denote garter stitch edges
