The needle size stated above are those in the pattern, if you take the needle sizes to be the old UK needle sizes 5 and 7. This assumption makes the gauge make sense for those who knit at a standard gauge, and it makes sense for my knitting.

Please not that I have included the hook size to date for the crochet edging, as I want to confirm that there isn’t any funny business going on with the hook size also.
