A classic wool scarf made even better with two columns of eye-catching cable work.

The two cable panels are actually the same cable, but staggered for maximum visual effect. The cable designs are easy to work, with basic cable twists and a unique (but simple) wrapped stitches technique. Perfect for a soft, worsted-weight yarn that shows stitch definition well, like the cashmere/merino blend used here.

Shown here with a pull-through slit. Can also be knit without slit and longer (two longer lengths included in instructions).

Cable design is charted and written.

This same cable design looks very handsome in the co-ordinating cable hat design ##255 Riley Hat, available separately. Knit both up, like I did, for a great gift set.

Three lengths included: Pull-Through Short (Regular, Long).

GAUGE: 20 sts = 3” / 8.5 cm and 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Braided Cluster Cable, blocked

Sample here is knit in Knitpicks Capra. Other suggested yarns listed.
