I used Walmart’s Mainstay yarn to this demo for the
3 DOUBLE CROCHET CLOSED SHELL STITCH,
and I also show in the video demo how to crochet a
sleeveless summer top using the 3 dc closed shell stitch.

Mainstay yarn feels much like a cotton yarn, and holds
it’s shape well. And it’s quite affordable, in my area, it’s priced at $3.99 per skein.

The 3 dc closed shell stitch results in a flexible texture with soft give (not stiff or dense).

Works up quickly using a simple 2 rectangle technique
and working 2 sections; one for the front, one for the back;
then sewing them together at the shoulders and side seams.
