This pattern was inspired by the cardigan worn by Barbra Streisand in “A Star is Born”, a teacher of mine asked me to make it and I was struck by how beautiful it was! So now here’s the pattern I share with all of you!

This cardigan was designed for someone with 33”-27”-36 1/2” measurements. There is some ease, but I would be careful if your chest measurement is significantly larger, it may not be what you hoped.
I do plan on grading the pattern soon and offering it in other sizes, but for now, this is what I’ve got!

In the original pattern I did not list the needle size as you really need to just make sure your gauge is correct, but I did use a US size 7 16” circular for the body and sleeves.

I strongly recommend knitting with two active strands at the same time, even when not holding them together as you do for the cuffs and pockets. I am talking about after the armhole split. To ensure that the lace pattern continues properly and matches, I like to work all sides at the same time. If you trust yourself to make them match, more power to you!

I used Malabrigo Rios’ “Natural” 063. I’m a fan of the drape of the fabric and softness. Use your favorite, just make sure the gauge is correct.
