I’ve been interested in beekeeping and the amazing properties of honey, so when I saw this delicious yellow yarn I knew I had to create a cowl that would combine the geometry of honeycomb with my love of eyelet lace. The lace pattern for this cowl is worked flat with a garter border that drips its way throughout the warm, golden glow of Malabrigo’s Frank Ochre. While designing this cowl I was reminded of Herb Alpert’s arrangement of A Taste of Honey - what perfect name for a piece inspired by the busy bee! Enjoy a hot cup of tea while knitting this cowl, and don’t forget to add a nice big spoonful of honey!

Colors Shown: Malabrigo Frank Ochre, Henlia Handmade Marigold and Mad for Madder.
